Our first round of friends have left Rome and definitely left their mark! Jess and Jeff were the first couple to make it over and we had an awesome week of sightseeing, bar hopping and catching up. Good memories from every day!
The next three visitors arrived making the apartment very full! David and Jeff were stuck with five women in a one bedroom apartment. They definitely got an ear full that weekend!

A few days later, Andrea, Kelli, Kristen and I were on a train headed directly to Switzerland for a girl’s trip and a couple of wild nights. The train ride was scenic and we saw SO much just riding through Italy. Five hours later, we got to Switzerland and checked into Balmers, our hostel. That being said, we were in full party mode as the next day was our big skydiving jump... We went out a little too late that night but enjoyed every minute of it!
Tuesday morning, we woke up early--tried to force some food down into our nervous stomachs-- and headed out to the skydiving center. Andrea and I volunteered to go first and were loaded into a van taking us to the Helipad. As if riding 14,000 feet in the air in a helicopter wasn't exciting enough, they took the doors off of the helicopter to make for a truly crazy experience on the way up! Flying in and over the Alps was beautiful. I had always wanted to skydive but never imagined I would be able to do it over a place that was so amazing. When it came time to jump, we stood on the skis of the helicopter, completely out in the open sky! There was no turning back, we jumped and the feeling was incredible! It is indescribable to anyone that has never been skydiving before. After all four of us landed safely, we knew that nothing would top that experience for a really long time.
From Interlaken, we headed to Venice where we were met with lots of rain and then onto Florence and Naples. David met us in Naples for the weekend---which was definitely a good thing considering how shady the area was that we stayed in. Our last two days we had lots of sun and headed to Sorrento and Capri where we enjoyed the beautiful views...and even managed to squeeze some karaoke in there.
I have to say, it was really nice to have a girls trip and spend time with people from back home. We definitely made the most of every moment. Great times with great friends!
